Brave fans are struggling to secure tickets to this year’s Champions in Seoul, South Korea due to website glitches, IP blocks and flash sales.
Valorant Champions is the most anticipated event of the year, where the top twelve teams from four regions will fight for the title.
This year’s tournament begins at the COEX Shinhan Card Artium, home of the VCT PACIFIC International League, and ends at the INSPIRE Arena in Seoul.
Due to the prestige of this tournament, fans want to attend the matches in person and experience the matches up close, but due to various ticket issues, many of them do not have tickets.
Several threads appeared on Reddit where users claimed they were having trouble purchasing tickets for Valorant Heroes. Many users believed the Interpark ticketing site was the cause of this problem.
One user said: “As a Korean living outside Korea, I tried the Korean website. I have all the accounts and phone numbers.” “However, it is blocked outside Korea. I also tried the global presale, but it came up empty because auto-purchase was only possible on the Korean website.Interpark is really terrible. There is no chance of buying.”
There were two different versions of Interpark where fans could purchase tickets: a Korean website and a global website. The former is only available to those with a Korean ID and phone number, while the latter is intended for foreign fans.
However, it seems that both methods did not work properly in some cases. One fan even reported that the Interpark website blocked his IP address after he made multiple attempts to log in and get tickets.
Even those who browsed the site and were able to select tickets for the dates they wanted to attend were met with an error code that prevented them from checking out and transferred responsibility for their chosen venue to Riot Games.
“If you have frequent or unusual access, you will no longer be able to use this service.” You cannot even check whether the seats are empty or not. Terrible ticketing system/venue selection, riot. This is all a disgrace,” another commented.
