It’s hard to go a few weeks without rumors of a revamped PS5 Pro, and as questions keep piling up about the console’s planned announcement, it looks like official answers may be coming from Sony soon.
According to journalist Jeff Grubb, who spoke on a Game Mess Mornings episode of the Giant Bomb podcast, the PS5 Pro is expected to launch in 2024, although it hasn’t been officially announced yet. Previous leaks also hinted at this.
When exactly will it be announced? Earlier reports said it would happen in September, and Grubb points to that. According to Grubb, Sony has another State of Play presentation coming up instead of the PlayStation Showcase scheduled for September, and while he says he’s not sure if the PS5 Pro will be unveiled there, it wouldn’t be the least bit surprising.
In any case, when State of Play is released next month, it won’t be long before we hear from Sony. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days.
