Thanks to some hands-on impressions from a recent demo, the first details about the graphics modes of Konami’s Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater appear to have been revealed. Based on the screenshots, the demo will run on PS5 and, as VGC notes, will have a choice of quality and performance modes.
The former offers 4K/30fps, while the latter runs at 1080p resolution (and can dynamically scale higher). It’s unclear if these will be the last options available at launch. So keep that in mind.
Perhaps more interesting is the question of which players liked Metal Gear Solid the most. This was present in the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and unlocked certain features (e.g. picking up Metal Gear Solid 1 increases stamina). It seems that regeneration also has “consequences”, but in the demo there were no such things.
A release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has not yet been announced, but is expected to be announced later this year. The remake, created with Unreal Engine 5, will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
