Dr Disrespect posts another sneaky cryptic update as he plots streaming return

The scandal broadcaster Dr. Disrespect has made another sneaky change to his social media accounts as he plans to get back into content production.

In June 2024, former Twitch employees claimed that Dr. Disrespect (real name Guy Beam) was banned in 2020 for sending inappropriate direct messages to minors.

Doc finally addressed the allegations in a now-deleted tweet and announced that he would be taking an extended vacation with his family and taking a break from streaming.

In the following weeks, the streamer began testing the boundaries of social media by making a series of changes to his X account.


On August 21st, Dr. Disrespect both his profile picture and X’s header image into a branded photo, suggesting that he is officially preparing for his comeback.

This follows a long list of small changes to his X account. First I edited the header image to look like a fishing buoy with a logo on a stormy sea.

He then posted a picture of himself sitting on a chess board while his opponent played with chess pieces. He went on to attack the users who brought up his scandal in the comments section. But that’s not the whole story.

After Doc pleaded guilty to the charges, many companies severed their relationships with him, so it is unclear where he will distribute his work upon his return. While he hasn’t been completely banned from YouTube, the platform has stopped monetizing his channel and there is little reason for him to stream there.

Then again, Cake had no intention of killing Dr. Disrespect was banned as a precautionary measure, and even before the reason for the Twitch ban became public, he offered to transfer $10 million a year to the site. At the time, Doc rejected the offer, instead claiming it was worth $50 million.

The Rumble had already expressed interest in signing him before the allegations. In an interview with Dexerto in 2023, Chris Pawlowski, the site’s CEO, said: “We would give Dr. “I would love to have Irreverent on board.”
