A Baldur’s Gate 3 player could explore and survive the first game without taking a short or long break. Here’s how to make them.
If you get bloodied in Baldur’s Gate 3 and run out of spell slots in Baldur’s Gate 3, the next thing you should do is take a short or long rest. Finally, overcoming game interruptions is crucial to replenishing health and recharging certain actions.
Not to mention, you can also have heated conversations and experience romantic scenes with long pauses. In some ways, it’s hard to imagine a fight without this important mechanic. But one player apparently managed to do just that by watching the first act of the game without stopping, as he shared in a Reddit thread.
One user explained that after her brother went exploring in the dark, she was “transported to a faraway place” and “didn’t know what to do” while trying to hike a mountain trail. Apparently he didn’t even know he could rest during the game.
“This guy somehow survived the entire first act, and I’m not kidding. He stood around throwing health pills at everyone,” this user explained ingredients used to make health potions.
“You can do things like alchemy, but you didn’t know that with a short rest you could restore your health. He hadn’t even heard of this game. That’s not his type. The difficulty of the game is balanced, but still.”
Players were stunned in the comments section. Some players felt guilty about missing the romance and camp interactions in Act 1. However, some of them admitted that they have done something similar at some point due to the way things are presented in the game.
One user commented: “Rest in peace and enjoy the chance at romance with your friends.” However, another player claimed that Rahzel was “still breaking bones” in the game.
Some couldn’t help but laugh at the situation. “I wonder how many times I’ve had to hear different characters say, ‘You can take a nap,'” one player joked.
Someone else mentioned that it was their first time doing something similar. “I thought a lot of things depended on timing, and as the days went by it became negative.”
In any case, players praised the player’s dedication to something like this and wished him an even better next game, “with completely new story elements.”
