Asus just accidentally leaked AMD’s next-gen Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs

ASUS could be ahead of the curve. It appears that one of the company’s motherboard websites is ready to promote the unannounced AMD 9000X3D chip.

The X3D chip is the top model for consumer processors. We still recommend the previous generation Ryzen 5800X3D as it offers the best price-performance ratio.

However, Asus has included a reference to the X3D CPU variant in the code and URL of its website. AMD just released the 9000 series, but the response was slow.

Asus, first spotted by momomo_us, is clearly preparing the red team to hit the start button.

This page is dedicated to the new “AI” motherboards X870E and X870. Both boards are AM5 and come with almost all Asus brands.

If Asus has planned ahead, the launch will be much earlier than expected. This coincides with the release of Intel’s 15th generation.

The motherboards listed on the Asus website do not explicitly mention the X3D chip. It’s all embedded in HTML and can be found by right-clicking and finding the “View Page Source” option.

Although the bug was reported on August 20, the website has not been updated to remove the reference. Particle for direct object

AMD’s X3D chips have particularly large caches. This allows the CPU to perform beyond the chipset’s normal capabilities. This is achieved by using a 3D V-cache that literally stacks chiplets to increase their size. Particle for direct object

AMD Ryzen 9000 chips don’t have the best reviews right now. Digital Foundry’s review found that non-X3D CPUs lost ground compared to previous-generation X3D models. Particle for direct object

On October 10th, Team RED will be showcasing some of their new products at the event. However, there are rumors that the X3D chip will not be launched there as it is mainly aimed at commercial products. Particle for direct object
