At this year’s Samsung Developer Conference, the highlight was the announcement of One UI 7, which will be based on Android 15. This update promises significant improvements, including a redesigned user interface, enhanced customization options, and deeper AI integration that adapts based on user context, such as location and surroundings.
One UI 7 is expected to launch in early 2025, with a beta version available to users by the end of this year.
In addition to One UI 7, Samsung is also enhancing Tizen OS with on-device AI capabilities, allowing for a more responsive and personalized user experience. This will lead to better integration across the Galaxy ecosystem, enabling users to control their devices more seamlessly.
Samsung is introducing AI features in everyday appliances, such as refrigerators and vacuum cleaners. For instance, AI Vision in refrigerators will provide real-time inventory updates and suggest recipes based on available ingredients. Similarly, AI Floor Detect will improve the efficiency and intelligence of vacuum cleaners.
The SmartThings ecosystem will also see advancements with AI, including a feature called Home Insight, which analyzes real-time data to optimize home management. Additionally, Samsung has integrated AI into Bixby, enabling advanced voice controls that no longer require wake-up commands. Smart displays and TVs will benefit from AI-driven content recommendations, upscaling, and real-time customization using generative AI.
These developments showcase Samsung’s commitment to enhancing user experience through innovative AI solutions.
